The Results Are In!
The results for the first survey of the Yoga for Veterans, Mindful Resilience course are in! The course was based on training provided by the Veterans Yoga Project and utilized mindful movement (yoga), meditation, breathing, guided rest, and gratitude. 10 veterans participated in the 6-week Collier County course. Six veterans completed the first survey. 100% said that they were “Very Satisfied” with the course.
One surprising finding is that the most popular of the five tools presented was meditation. We thought that either Breathing or Mindful Movement would be the most popular because those tools might be more familiar or accessible to the participants. However, 100% of the veterans reported that they would be most likely to incorporate meditation into their lifestyle of all the tools. Yoga and Breathing tied for second, guided rest and gratitude tied for third.
